This collection includes official papers signed between the states within the Bombay Presidency and the Government of India from the 1700s to 1906. These include treaties of commerce and peace, offensive and defensive alliance, opium and salt agreements and security bonds. Other documents concern the settlement of disputes, restoration of territories, transfer of revenue, payment of duties, share in the land, construction and maintenance of railway and telegraph lines, distribution of territories, suppression of female infanticide and sati, as well as details of criminal and civil jurisdiction, troops and adoption.
